Rocket had always been the unstoppable force.

All in one direction, unbalanced when altered. She was everything at once. Her heart beat too fast for her body and Sweet Pea always thought she’d been born too soon. That the world couldn’t keep up.

            Their parents never could and neither could she, always a mile back, like watching the sunrise. Far enough to see the danger that her sister didn’t, far enough to see the collision, never close enough to stop it.
